The process of Investments, repair and maintenance of institutions, represents another achievement of the Cuban State during 2016, carried out so as to continue to rise the health parameters of the population, to raise their satisfaction for the services, and to make the System sustainable.
At the end of this year, we learned about the impact that the use of platelets in the Regenerative Medicine means, and its use in Cuba until 2016. One of the most recognized voices to this end in the country, Professor Porfirio Hernández Ramírez, Head of the National Group of Regenerative Medicine.
The services in Havana of Gastroenterology received during 2016 a sensible benefit on account of the investment, repair and maintenance carried out in installations to that end, belonging to Dr. Salvador Allende Teaching Clinic-Surgical Hospital (former Covadonga) of Cerro municipality.
With regard to public health and its historic dates, Cuba celebrates, every beginning of the year, the birth of the Cuban model of family medicine; as, just on January 4th, 1984, the doors of the first doctor and nurse’s offices in Havana were opened.
The Annual Balance of the Regenerative Medicine National Group, carried out by the end of 2016, showed that during this year that the application of said medicine in Cuba, advanced.
