Mourning manifestations still continue in Cuba on account of Fidel Castro’s decease, which are accompanied with thoughtful attention to that man who, with endless humility, self-sacrifice and gentleness, led the decisive battle to throw out of our homeland extreme poverty, abuse and outrage.
Many town people, who before January 1959 have the power to decide, and now, thanks to our Commander in Chief, do have it, and with that voice, tell anecdotes, express feelings, and demonstrate their unconditional position towards the Cuban Revolution.
One of those people is One of those people is Yanet Hernández Fernández, who we recently met, when she wanted to thank to the team of physicians who saved her life in Freyre de Andrade Hospital, municipality of Havana Center.
This time we learned that the pain she felt on account of the loss of the historic leader of the Revolution urged her to write some pieces of poetry dedicated to him.
This sprightly little girl, our readers had the opportunity, as well, to meet in June 2016 when she showed up in this place because she was the most outstanding student in her school, for being the most worthy of the Ring Cuba, awarded by the Cultural Society José Martí.
On this occasion, we offer to cybernauts, the two poems dedicated to Fidel, and one for The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (FAR), whose 60th anniversary was celebrated this December 2th.
Until forever, Commander!
The news reported
The Commander had died,
The most humane and honest
The bravest and most beloved.
It is a lie. You are not dead
You are in each Cuban
Your ideas are alive
Here and in brother countries
And the history of giants,
Fidel, your name will be materialized;
A sacrificed man for seeing a new world
And for my older pioneer
Who shines, though far away
Full of love, we tell him
Until forever, Commander!
Thanks, Fidel
As a pioneer, I thank
Thousand times, our Commander
For making so important
The children’s education
Because with love, he gives us
Books, doctors and schools
We received your gifts
When a delighted castle
Surprised me in September
Where kids learn
Without paying a single cent
It is more than enough
This is truly a Revolution
They teach us with tenacity
And Marti´s thoughts
And put in our hands
The book The Golden Age,
Which is indeed a great treasure,
Not an American toy.
You must know we admire you
And do believe in you
Because today Fidel you fulfilled
What Martí dreamt.
Glorious FAR (Revolutionary Armed Forces)
Today, we, the pioneers
Dedicate our love
To those that with dedication
Defend the Revolution
In the air, see and land
They are present
So that, nobody with Cuba
May ever destroy Cuba
Do you know whom I am talking about?
Of our glorious FAR!
