The 2015 was a year of achievements on the subject of public health in Havana, and from this proper scenery, the most relevant of the undertaking of the sector in all programs of national system of health have been known all over the world.

It is noteworthy the number of institutions where maintenance works and constructive repairs were carried out in order to improve comfort and widen the services. From the first finished in the first four-month period, was the internal medicine room of the university hospital Dr. Salvador Allende, repair that was almost complete.

Regarding the aging of the population, the Cuban capital showed important experiences in ATEROFORUM 2015, an event organized by the Research and Reference Center of Atherosclerosis of Havana. Foreign personalities highlighted, in the conclave, the leadership of our scientists in this field.

In addition, the Program for Attention and Control of diseases of sexual transmission, this year, reported a decrease of the mortality of patients infected with HIV-AIDS.

In the medical training, some important facts took place. Among them, the University Of Medical Sciences Of Havana received the category of Certified University, and in July, more than 900 graduates received their titles to strengthen the human capital of the province. The army of white robes of Havana in 2015 had an important international contribution, especially in the struggle against Ebola, and the recognition of international organizations.

It is important to highlight that in the province scientific institutions are found, drug industries, and researchinstitutes that have benefited all Cubans with their results, and they already rebound for a higher quality of life of humanity. In brief, Havana in 2015 was scenery of achievements and impacts of health, in favor of its population, which give merits to the province and to Cuba that leaks out into the world.
