President Raúl Castro Receives Slovak PM

Army General Raúl Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Robert Fico, Prime Minister (PM) of the Slovak Republic.

On Thursday afternoon at Revolution Building, in an atmosphere of cordiality, the two heads of state verified the positive state of bilateral relations and coincided in potentials for their development. They also spoke about other topics of common interest on the international agenda, ACN reported on October 8.

Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Miroslav Lajcak, Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs; Peter Kazimir, Deputy PM and Minister of Finances; and Ladislav Straka, Slovak ambassador to Havana.

Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and the island’s ambassador to that European nation, Loipa Sánchez.
