HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 13 – Army General Raúl Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Army General Serguei Kuzhuguetovich Shoigu, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, held on Friday afternoon, they spoke about the historic bonds uniting the two nations and ratified the willingness of continue strengthening cooperation ties, the Cuban News Agency reported.

Also participating in the meeting were several members of the delegation accompanying Army General Serguei Kuzhuguetovich Shoigu.

Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Politburo members and Army Corps generals Leopoldo Cintra Frías and Álvaro López Miera, Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister and Chief of Staff, respectively, as well as other chiefs of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
