Since Donald Trump took office, everything seems as though he was ruling backwards, at high speed, the policy and the economy of that country.

Suffice it  to say, as examples, the withdrawal from  the Paris Agreement,  related to the climate change,  the exit from important commercial agreements, and the  last week  announcement about the dismantling of the normalization process of relations with Cuba.

Many think that Trump is out of mind, because of his acting apparently nonsensical, in foreign policy, and still internally; for example, as he carried out   war actions in Syria, Afghanistan, and near the Korean Peninsula, or as when he proclaimed his crusade against emigrants.

Both appreciations are wrong

The present North American Administration is not going back, but going ahead very fast in the invariable direction, foreseen by Marx and Engels, that leads to the exacerbation of the internal contradictions of the capitalist system and its unavoidable break down.

In other words, it is the accelerated fall towards the terminal phase of the system, characterized by the radicalization of its most negative traits of the permanent, economic, political and social crisis, and highly aggravated the growing of contradictions among the capitalist powers, within their own internal political factions, and among the social factors of the population.

As he withdrew from the Paris Agreement, the US Government liberates of all environmental limits the irresponsible industry, incapable of stopping his hunger for profits, even though his behavior leads to deepen the differences with the rest of the world, even with his European partners, and put to serious risk the human species.

Trump came to deny, more and more, the existence of the climatic change and now he accepts that a global warming is real, although it is not a threat to the industrialized countries, as if these were in a different planet.

If what he ascertains was like that, those words are a clear admission of the criminal scorn of the empire for the life of the rest of humanity; more so when the US are the main creators of pollution of the planet.

Neither Trump is out of mind, or anything of the like. Perhaps, a psychiatric patient might be president of the United States, but certainly, he would not have been able to raise a multimillionaire emporium.. To attain that, one has to be intelligent and above all merciless.

However, all empires throughout history, when entering their stage of definite decline, need to be led by individuals whose actions seem to be suitable to a maniac.

Nero, Caligula, Haile Selassie, Mobutu Sese Seko, Nicolas II of Russia, Adolf Hitler… are some known examples of tyrants of eccentric aspect and extreme actions, whose governments marked the end of their respective dominions.

In this case, given the global magnitude of the problem, it is not probable that a Trump might be enough to give the coup de grace to the USA, although he will surely bring the empire much nearer to the abyss than his predecessors.

Regarding his advertised project to revert most of the discrete advancements in a civilized coexistence between both countries, he should know that this would not be so easy because it denies important economic interests, created during the last two years.

His announcement infested with the worn-out pretexts of the cold war, may somehow correspond to his ideological tendencies, but fundamentally, it is a way to please certain individuals, experts to boycott governments, included their own.

Trump wants to reconcile with the congress members Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Marco Rubio, Mario Diaz-Balart, Carlos Curbelo and other experienced tricky people, who, for their deep-rooted hatred towards the revolutionary processes, and for their own political economical interests, are specialists to block legislative projects, and to play any kind of tricks to any president to see him fall down into pieces.

Even so, the Office for Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the Department of the Treasury, readily explained that the changes of the policy towards Cuba announced by the president will not be applied immediately, and will not have all the scope boasted by his speech from June 16 in Miami.

Trump should know that during more than half a century the failed policy of isolation against Cuba has not been able to subdue the sovereign will of Cubans, and besides, it has ended up isolating much more the United States from the rest of the world.

Likewise, any other new attempt focused on changing the political economical and social system in Cuba will collapse; may that be through pressures and impositions, or by using more subtle methods.

As the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez, emphasized during a press conference, in Vienna, last Monday, “Cuba will not negotiate her principles nor will we accept conditioning, as we have never done”.
