Cuban swimmer Lorenzo Pérez won on Tuesday the sixth bronze medal for Cuba in the 15th Paralympic Games under way in Rio de Janeiro, where only one opportunity remains for him to try to obtain a title for the first time in these Games.

With a time of 5:14.44 seconds, Pérez finished third in the 400 meter free style test (S6), ACN reported on September 13.

The best specialty of Pérez, runner-up in London 2012 in the 50 meter event, is the 100 meters free-style (S6), a distance in which he owns the world record with 1:04.60 minutes, set in Toronto 2015.

In a similar program, Pérez will compete on Saturday morning to qualify to the finals also announced as the first of the last day of swimming competitions.
