Cuban Osleni Guerrero qualified on Friday for the finals of the International Badminton Tournament under way in Suriname until Saturday, after wining in one of the semifinals against Italian Rosario Maddaloni.

Guerrero beat Maddaloni in 38 minutes of action (21-14 and 21-13), ACN reported on November 20.

With that victory, the Cuban player won the right to discuss the title of the tournament, in this case against a U.S. rival, Howard Shu, who defeated Czech Jan Frohlich on Friday (21-14 21-8).
Also on Friday, in the quarterfinals, Osleni defeated Mexican Lino Muñoz (21-17 and 21-13) so up to now he has not lost any set in the tournament.
