The 10 Cuban judokas that participated over the weekend in the Grand Prix of Qingdao, China, will leave on Tuesday for South Korea, the second stop of the training tour they’re making of Asia, which includes Japan.
After occupying the tenth position by countries with a silver medal and a bronze medal in the competition, the disciples of Justo Noda and Armando Padron, heads of the group of trainers of the men’s and women’s teams, respectively, they will compete from November 26th through the 28th in South Korea ACN reported on Monday.
The pupils of Noda and Padron participated only one day in the training sessions offered by the competition in China, which also gave 300 points for world ranking to the winners of the 14 called divisions, with a view to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Dr. Uvelino Moreno told ACN that the 10 judokas are in perfect health to meet the remaining commitments, seeking to keep adding points to improve positions on the world list that gives 22 (m) and 14 (w) direct tickets to the Olympics.
The Cuban athletes will end their tour at the Grand Slam of Japan, scheduled to take place on December 6-8.
