Cuba will participate with its main women freestyle wrestlers in the Pan-American Wrestling Championship scheduled for April in Chile, to try to complete the team to the continental meeting of Toronto.
Two Cubans have already obtained their tickets to these multiple games to be held in Canadian soil on July 10-26: Yusneilis Guzmán, of the 48 kilogram category, and Lisset Echevarría (75), the Cuban News Agency reported.
Yamilka del Valle (53), Yaquelín Stornell (58), Katherine Videaux (63) and Yudaris Sánchez (69), in addition to the aforementioned athletes, will represent the Caribbean island in Chile.
In this competition, from April 24th through the 26th, the first five athletes on the list of each division will obtain their tickets to Toronto.
On February 13, Cuban women wrestlers ended their participation in the 46th edition of the Cerro Pelado-Granma International Tournament in this capital, another opportunity to test both young and experienced figures.
Participating in this Tournament was a strong U.S. team, which obtained five titles, while Vidiaux was the only Cuban winner in this competition.
